Al-Marsad Newspaper: A member of the Supreme Committee for Hajj and Umrah and a member of the Chamber of Tourism Companies in Egypt, Naser Turk, revealed that the Cairo International Airport authorities stopped 180 pilgrims at Cairo Airport during their travel to Umrah, saying: Umrah is not a ticket.
He explained, during televised statements, that pilgrims must have a barcode to exit the ports and enter the Umrah gate through this barcode before traveling and verifying their data.
He pointed out that the broker circumvents the law in order to save for himself, and does not go to tourism companies and therefore does not obtain the Umrah barcode.
Informed sources at Cairo Airport said that there are visas that were issued without a barcode, as they were refused travel due to the lack of a Umrah barcode issued by the Ministry of Tourism.
