Saudi Arabia with interest in expanding trade relations and investments in Paraguay

Asunción, IP Agency.- The Saudi Arabian ambassador to Paraguay, Hussein Alassiri, held meetings with the ministers of Foreign Affairs and of Industry and Commerce (MIC) to discuss cooperation projects and business opportunities between the two countries.

During the meeting with the MIC minister, Luis Castiglioni, the diplomat expressed his country’s interest in increasing trade relations and presented an invitation to carry out a business mission to the country’s capital, Riyadh.

With the visit of businessmen and authorities to Saudi Arabia, it is expected to expand exports and present business opportunities in Paraguay.

Alassiri indicated that his country is a large importer of fruit and vegetable products, soybeans and others, and he views Paraguay with interest. The business mission will allow more Saudi businessmen to learn regarding investment and business relationship opportunities.

In the meeting with the foreign minister, Julio César Arriola, the follow-up on the negotiations of bilateral agreements was discussed and the diplomat presented the candidacy of Saudi Arabia to host the Universal Expo 2030 seeking the support of Paraguay.
