“I have to give a lot of credit to St-Louis and Hughes”

The Montreal Canadiens have lost their last six games, but there are still smiles around the team.

It’s a rather peculiar situation in the National Hockey League, where winning is usually very important, but the fans seem to accept and understand the plan.

“I have to give a lot of credit to Martin St-Louis and Kent Hughes for selling their salad, admitted Michel Therrien, Monday, to JiC.

“The owner [Geoff Molson] also must embark in there. There, we’ve been in the lowlands for two years, but if we don’t see any improvement in three or four years, you have to think regarding your partners. If you just play to play, for sure the interest of the world will decrease.

That said, Therrien understands very well the situation in which the CH head coach finds himself.

“I put myself in the shoes of St. Louis… he doesn’t have a big club,” he said. He looks at his roster, the roster on the other side and he just hopes his guys are going to compete and it’s a close game. It is his reality, do not blame him.
