How many brothers have faced each other in a Super Bowl?

Super Bowl LVII will be held this Sunday in search of a new NFL champion, with an interesting story for the family of two of the players who will be on the field during the day, the brothers Travis and Jason Kelce.

This will be the first time that two brothers meet in search of the Vince Lombardi trophy, with Travis as one of the big stars for the Kansas City Chiefs and Jason as the starting center for the Philadelphia Eagles. While they won’t clash directly as both offensive players, it’s quite a curiosity in Super Bowl history.

In the past, the closest thing to this situation was the presence of the brothers John and Jim Harbaugh as coaches of the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers, respectively. They met in Super Bowl XLVII in 2013, in which John ended up victorious.

However, there was a pair of brothers who played and won the Super Bowl, but on the same team: the twins Devin and Jason McCourty; Known for their role with the New England Patriots who won the LIII edition in 2019.
