In new tests of WhatsAppo WABetaInfo showed that the messenger should receive news which show username instead of number when someone outside the contact list sends a message in a group.
That way, it will be much easier to identify who sent a message in a group, even if you don’t have the person added to your contacts. The name that will appear will be the one added when editing the profile and the number can still be seen by tapping on the conversation information.
The site also released another test related to group admins. In the beta version, there is now an option to enable/disable the user approval. If it is activated, administrators will see a “Pending Participants” section and it will be necessary to analyze (accept/reject) everyone who asks to join the group.
Finally, the messenger continues to expand the Communities option. Now, Meta wants to implement the novelty in the WhatsApp Businessas can be seen in new platform tests.
As the screenshot below shows, a new Communities option appears in the app’s settings. So businesses will finally be able to access the list of all the communities they’re in, including subgroups and ad groups. In the same section, it will also be possible to create new communities.
It is worth remembering that all the news are only available in the test versions of the applications on TestFlight and there is no forecast for when they will reach the general public.
