This declaration was made this Saturday in favor of the 11e national conference organized by the Gouagnon Coulibaly tendency of the Union for the Republic and Democracy (URD). It was this Saturday at the International Conference Center of Bamako, in the presence of an audience of executives, activists and supporters of the handshake party.
“This conference, placed under the sign of openness and renewed confidence, takes on a special character because it comes at a pivotal moment in the life of our nation and our party”, declared Mr. Gouagnon at the start. Coulibaly, proclaimed president of the URD while waiting for the end of the judicial soap opera that the party is experiencing.
According to him, the choice to support the transition, in which the URD is a stakeholder, is justified by the opening of paths relating to the strengthening of national leadership in public affairs, the appropriation by Malian citizens of the concepts of sovereignty and national pride, to the reinforcement of the operational capacities of our national army, from now on, crucible of national unity and privileged tool of the political decision.
According to Mr. Coulibaly, the URD moreover gives its favorable Yes to all the initiatives taken by the authorities for the success of the transition which should lay the foundations for a new Mali. In particular through the political and institutional reforms initiated.
“The URD, for its part, is and will always remain available to make any contribution to this success. This is why it participated in the National Refoundation Meetings (ANR), in the meetings of the consultation framework between the Ministry of Territorial Administration and the political parties and in the meetings organized by the AIGE”, he will say. .
To this, he adds, the URD, which renews its commitment and its mobilization in favor of YES for the referendum vote, is proud to have contributed through its proposals for improvements to the preliminary draft and the presence physical condition of one of his own within the finalization committee”.
“It is obvious that the success of these bets remains dependent on the sacred union of all the girls and all the sons of MALI in the same patriotic spirit and self-sacrifice. We must show more patriotic commitment to the success of this transition. Let us never forget that the success of this transition will first be the success of MALI, its failure will be the failure of MALI, of all of MALI! God forbid,” he explained.
