An Egyptian blogger shocked her followers, on Sunday, following confirming that she had permanently lost her sight, following hopes of her treatment faded following she was shot by unknown persons last month.
The blogger, Sarah Muhammad, 21, was injured on the ninth of last February, in a shooting accident by unknown persons, who were aiming to steal her fiancé’s car, who was with her at the time of the accident.
And it came on the blogger’s account, on Instagram, “Sarah lost the last hope she was holding on to.. Unfortunately, the final result is Sarah who lost her sight.. Oh God, we do not ask you to respond to the judiciary, but we ask you for kindness in it.”
Sarah Muhammad received a lot of sympathetic reactions and invitations on social media, following announcing the news.
Some artists, such as the famous Egyptian singer Tamer Hosni, supported Sarah following the accident and asked their followers to pray for her recovery.
Muhammad recounted the incident in a video clip she posted on the Internet, as she said that she was with her fiancé, who was driving her to her home on the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road, returning from the Raml Station area in central Alexandria.
She added that a car tried to block their way, but she advised her fiancé not to stop and to continue speeding on the road, but the car managed to approach them, then she saw some unknown persons carrying firearms, and they hit her in the head before she passed out.
Cairo 24 newspaper said that Sarah and her fiancé were transferred to Al-Miri Hospital in Alexandria, “where doctors confirmed that she was blind due to exposure to blood clots, brain hemorrhage and eye tissue damage, due to the entry of bullet fragments and car glass into her eye.”
Earlier, Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper quoted Muhammad as saying that the glass was extracted from her eyes, but the doctors were unable to extract the cartridge. He made me see so far.”
Muhammad was providing girls with content related to fashion, fashion and cosmetics through her accounts on social media platforms, before the accident, and she was followed by 100,000 accounts on Instagram.
