Jakarta –
The traffic jam occurred in the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area, Central Jakarta, following concert spectators BLACKPINK disband. Concert goers are worried they won’t be able to get an online taxi to go home due to the traffic jam.
“Already ordered now, there may be a delay because waiting 10 minutes has not arrived,” said a spectator from Yogyakarta named Afif (25) when met by detik.com at the location, Sunday (12/3/2023).
Nevertheless, Afif understands this. He will also keep waiting until the online taxi driver arrives.
“Understandably the concert too, must be jammed,” he said.
In line with Afif, a spectator from Tangerang named Meta (20) is also worried that he will not be able to find a driver following the traffic jams that have occurred in the GBK area.
“This is a direct message, for fear of running out first,” he said.
He himself intends to go home rollicking. However, one of his friends was still in the concert area.
“I’m crowded, there are still friends in the palace, so I’m waiting for this,” he added.
Traffic jam following BLACKPINK concert
The fans who had finished watching the BLACKPINK concert at the Bung Karno Stadium (GBK), Senayan, Jakarta, dispersed. Traffic around the location is jammed.
detikcom’s monitoring on Sunday (12/3), the audience began to disperse around 20.45 WIB. Then, the audience continued to leave the venue until 21.00 WIB.
This condition caused traffic jams around the location. Starting from Jalan Gelora, Jalan Pintu Satu Senayan to Jalan Jenderal Sudirman towards the HI GBK Roundregarding.
The congestion was caused by the booming of the spectators who started to leave. Mainly from Gate 10 and Gate 5 GBK.
There were a number of vehicles raising and lowering passengers, scrambling for the road with passing vehicles.
Not only that, the Gelora Bung Karno Bus Stop is also experiencing tail congestion for passengers using the TransJakarta mode of transportation.
Currently, the police are still on standby at the location. Officers are still unraveling traffic jams in the GBK area.
Meanwhile, currently the police have not enforced traffic engineering. Jalan Asia Afrika to Jalan Pintu 1 Senayan can still be passed by vehicles.
