In Szentgyörgyvár, Zala County, one of the 16 square meter rooms of a 110 square meter family house caught fire on Saturday night, the National Directorate General of Disaster Management told Index.
In the room affected by the fire, the bed and the wardrobe next to it were on fire, and the flames reached the ceiling of one square meter. 11 professional firefighters from Keszthely with three fire engines and four volunteer firefighters from Alsópáhok came to the scene, and they brought the flames under control in a short time.
Firefighters also retrieved a gas cylinder from the building, which was cooled down, thus preventing an explosion. During the vaccination, the body of a middle-aged woman was found in the house. It is possible that the fire was caused by smoking in bed, however, the exact circumstances of the fire will be revealed by a fire investigation procedure.
Sunday morning Budapest XIII. district, a first-floor apartment of a condominium on Hegedűs Gyula Street caught fire. 13 firefighters with three vehicles went to the incident and entered the hundred square meter apartment, in which an armchair, a wardrobe and a chair were burning on three square meters.
