The East Flanders prosecutor’s office confirms the news. A lady heard an unusual noise at her home, located in a very rural area, went to look and found two burglars.
When she addressed them, the men fled. The perpetrators did not resort to violence. Police arrived at the scene and workers working outside described a vehicle. A follow-up survey has been launched.
An ambulance came to the scene, as the woman was in awe of what she had just experienced. It is not yet known if anything was stolen.
