Karnataka Police started action on Swapna’s complaint

Bengaluru ∙ The Bengaluru police started action on the complaint filed by Swapna Suresh, who is accused in the gold smuggling case, that there was a threat to her life from CPM Kerala State Secretary MV Govindan. The police went to the hotel in Whitefield where Swapna alleged that a middleman named Vijesh Pillai had come to threaten them.

Swapna’s lawyer had filed an e-mail complaint to the Karnataka Home Minister and DGP the other day, alleging that Vijesh had offered him money to correct his statement in the court in the gold smuggling case and that Vijesh had threatened him that his life would be in danger if he did not comply. After no action was taken, Swapna went directly to the station and filed a complaint.
