The Texans may not know who their quarterback will be, but they have another weapon for him. The Houston team, which currently has the second pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, has reached an agreement with free agent receiver Robert Woods.

Ian Rapoport vom NFL Network reportedthat it’s a two-year, $15.25 million deal. $10 million is fully guaranteed and the maximum value of the contract can go up to $17 million.
The Titans released Woods on Feb. 22 following he caught 53 passes for 527 yards and two touchdowns in 2022.
Veteran receiver Robert Woods, a second-round pick in the 2013 draft, spent his first four seasons with the Bills. He signed with the Rams in free agency in 2017. Woods had two 1,000-yard seasons in Los Angeles and was on track for another in 2021 before tearing his cruciate ligament while training in November.
The Panthers draft pick trade with the Bears puts some pressure on the Texans to pick the second quarterback following Carolina presumably made his pick from the quarterback picks. Alabama’s Bryce Young, Ohio State’s CJ Stroud, Florida’s Anthony Richardson and Kentucky’s Will Lewis are the top rated players in this position.
