Ciudad Guayana.- In the spaces of the Bolívar Social Foundation, in the Caroní municipality, the Digital Marketing Workshop for Politics was successfully carried out, an activity promoted by the government of Ángel Marcano to strengthen strategic communication in the social networks, according to the guidelines of President Nicolás Maduro.
Under the coordination of the Ministry of Communication and Information, more than 80 people received this training, led by Gerardo Miguel González, a prominent comprehensive social communicator, with 32 years of experience in developing and executing communication projects.
During the day, the speaker divided the workshop into five sections, beginning with a statistical analysis of public opinion in three scenarios, such as the street, the use of traditional and digital media, as well as political exercise.
For the second phase, the participants learned regarding online reputation and digital channels, while in the third phase, González explained the steps to do digital political branding.
The Marketing and Communication consultant provided guidance on decision-making, closing his presentation with engagement strategies for politicians in the campaign or in office.
Marketing in Bolivar
Gerardo Miguel González commented that in Bolívar, as in many states of the country, important efforts are being made to develop digital marketing and communication strategies that manage to connect positively in the democratic environment, fundamentally so that street work is a product of the joint participation of governments and citizens for the common good.
“The National Government is well planted in this matter, but downstream it is necessary to take important steps, invest in creating political marketing teams in the institutions, which will be the support of the government management to develop campaigns and mobilize citizens. The exercise of politics cannot be left to empiricism”.
communication revolution
Horacio Alarcón Basabe, Secretary of Communication and Information of the Government, emphasized that the digital age brings various opportunities, which is why he considers it necessary to keep up with the demands of the market, especially in politics.
He noted that technological tools evolve continuously, since the Bolivarian Government of Nicolás Maduro, and the regional management of Ángel Marcano, have instructed the consolidation of a mechanism to get closer to the people.
“Politics is communicational, and communicational is political, therefore, the Governor considers it essential to continue promoting this type of training activities to strengthen journalists, popular communicators, and alternatives. Let’s go ahead, working on the seven strategic lines oriented by President Nicolás Maduro”.
He considered it important that the social communicators attached to the Government be updated and have spaces for permanent training, a primary mission of the Institutional Strengthening Coordination, created in the Media Directorate under Erika Luige.
With this activity, there are four training days aimed at journalists, alternative media, communication guerrillas, students, and all those interested in learning with this initiative promoted by Governor Ángel Marcano, to comply with the 3R.Nets (Resist, Reborn and Revolutionize ), which are part of the policies of President Nicolás Maduro, in order to consolidate political, cultural and social awareness in the 2.0 world, in a timely and truthful manner.
