Tangiers.. The Mediator of the Kingdom Foundation and the Sahara Forum for Dialogue and Cultures organize a communication day with the activities of civil society associations

Under the slogan: 20 years of joint action for a more equitable consociational governance, the regional delegation of the Kingdom Mediator Foundation in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region and the regional branch of the Sahara Forum for Dialogue and Cultures in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region organized a communication day with civil society associations on the topic: “The Kingdom Mediator Foundation: the path And the outcome,” on Thursday, March 9, 2023, in Tangiers.

After listening to the national anthem, and delivering a welcoming speech by the moderator of the session, Abdel-Rafie Chentouf, head of the regional branch of the Sahara Forum for Dialogue and Cultures in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, a documentary regarding the Kingdom Mediator was shown.

After that, Abdul Rahim Al-Hani, the regional representative of the Kingdom Mediator, gave a presentation regarding the Kingdom’s Mediator Foundation, the path and outcome, in which he touched in his speech on the stages of the development of the Kingdom Mediator, as well as defining its specializations and tasks, in addition to the achievements that it accumulated in the field of easement governance.

At the end of his speech, the regional delegate gave a glimpse of the annual report of the Foundation, especially in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region. He also stressed the need to activate communication mechanisms to support the accumulation and valorization of the gains.

This was followed by Dr. Zuhair Al-Zanan, a member of the regional office of the forum, presenting a presentation on managing the relationship between the administration and the usufructuary, towards the consecration of the values ​​of citizenship, where he touched on diagnosing the relationship between the administration and the usufructuary, in addition to approaches to reforming the relationship between the administration and the citizen through constitutional and legal rehabilitation. At the end of his speech, he emphasized the dedication of the values ​​of citizenship in regulating the relationship between management and the usufructuary.

Salahi Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sahara Forum for Dialogue and Cultures and a member of the Oversight Committee of the Open Government (OGP), refused to personally attend this meeting due to its great importance in qualifying civil society to become an active party at the level of institutional mediation and qualified to plead, evaluate and follow public policies within the framework of participatory democracy in order to activate it. According to the royal directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God grant him victory and support.

The attendees expressed their interaction with this important initiative, as it was emphasized the necessity of organizing future meetings on this subject, as well as organizing training courses for civil society associations on the issue of institutional mediation.
