Former head of the Accounts Chamber Alexei Kudrin said that he recommended several people for the post of new head of the department when he left. He explained that now these candidates may be under consideration by the government.
“I naturally recommended as soon as I left. Maybe they are under consideration, maybe they are looking for others. No, I won’t,” said Alexei Kudrin. TASS during a trip to Arkhangelsk, where he participated in the work of the Board of Trustees of the Northern Arctic Federal University.
According to him, there were more than one candidate. “I think it’s hard to find someone like me,” Mr. Kudrin joked, answering the question why a new head of the joint venture has not yet been appointed.
Alexei Kudrin left the post of head of the joint venture in November 2022, in December he began working at Yandex. RBC reported that Mr. Kudrin proposed Vice-Speaker of the State Duma Alexander Zhukov for the post of head of the joint venture. Sources of the publication also said that Dmitry Kozak, deputy head of the presidential administration, is being considered for the post.
The Federation Council must submit candidates for the post of head of the joint venture to the President of Russia. In January, the Federation Council said that they had not yet found a definite candidate for this position.
