The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense said that during the past 24 hours, Russian forces launched 29 air strikes and 4 missile strikes on the Donetsk region, which led to heavy losses in infrastructure and injuries among civilians.
And she added: The Ukrainian army forces repelled more than 100 attacks by the Russian forces in an attempt to advance in the regions of Donetsk and Luhansk in the direction of Liman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marin and Shakhtar.
And the ministry continued: Russian forces launch continuous attacks on the city of Bakhmut without stopping, noting that the Ukrainian Air Force carried out 11 air raids on the areas of concentration of Russian forces, and succeeded in targeting weapons depots and missile storage places.
And the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the “retaliatory” shelling, which has continued since dawn on Thursday, is in response to the penetration of a group of “terrorists” from the Ukrainian side of the Russian border on March 2, and the targeting of citizens in the border Bryansk.
On the ground, Ukrainian forces are holding on to their positions on the southern front (Kherson and Zaporizhia), while capabilities are declining on the eastern front (Bakhmut and Donbass), with the continuation of mutual shelling around the Dnipro River.
For its part, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said on Facebook: “The enemy continued its attacks and showed no sign of stopping the storming of Bakhmut, and our defenders repelled the attacks on Bakhmut and the surrounding areas.”
