BLOCK HOUSE:In advance, Casper Nielsen tours around North Jutland with his food truck “Den Muntre Gris”.
Now the truck is joined by a restaurant.
On March 31, Casper Nielsen will open the doors to the restaurant “Den Muntre Gris” in the premises that previously housed “Den Kække Havfrue”.
The restaurant has space for a total of around 90 diners, divided between outside and inside seats.
– I have always come to Blokhus a lot, and I have worked at the former discotheque “Peter Wessel”, and my grandfather also ran a grill bar in Blokhus, says Casper Nielsen.
– It is therefore a dream come true, as I have always dreamed of having a restaurant in Blokhus, he says.
Strandvejen 8 is owned by contractor and property developer Finn Jensen from Hals and Orla Nielsen from Hjallerup, who took over the property from Boligforeningen BAS ApS.
As Nordjyske has previously written, the new owners have partly bought the property with the aim of beautifying the area, partly to rent out the other empty premises to pop-up shops.
For the time being, Casper Nielsen has been given the opportunity to rent the premises until 25 August. The hope is that there is an opportunity to stay in Blokhus.
– My dream is that we can find another lease and continue to run “Den Muntre Gris” in Blokhus, but that of course depends on whether there is the potential we expect, says Casper Nielsen.
– We want to offer good home-cooked food at reasonable prices, which is reflected in our menu, where the most expensive thing we have is our star shot for 149 kroner.
Casper Nielsen states that it will be open every day during the holiday periods, while in other periods it will be open from Thursday to Sunday inclusive
In addition to “Den Muntre Gris”, Casper Nielsen runs “Caspers Pizza” on Østerbro in Aalborg.
