The Huois firefighters were called to intervene, Thursday evening around 11:00 p.m., along the Chaussée des Forges which provides the link between Huy and Modave, in the Hoyoux valley.
Stones were detached from the rock wall before landing in particular on the road. No one was hurt.
As a security measure, the police completely closed the road to traffic, in its portion between the Place des Italiens and the Rue Entre-Deux-Tiers.
“An assessment of the risk of new falls must be carried out during the day,” the Huy police chief told the Belga agency on Friday morning.
“The road should be closed at least until Monday”, continues the Hemeco rescue zone.
