A book. For its 75th anniversary, the theater association is gearing up for another season.

Those responsible for the theater in Buch (TiB) still remember the situation three years ago. Especially since the pandemic in Vorarlberg was picking up speed at the time, all performances had to be canceled just a few days before the premiere. There was little to laugh regarding in the two years that followed. Here, too, the theater stage in the mountain community remained empty due to the corona. The theater community, officially founded in 1948, used the time to be able to attract new talent with training and further education. Now the club is gearing up for the three-week season with the cheerful comedy “The (Wedding) Night”. “For the new stage production, we managed to find eleven performers,” says the board Gerhard Stofleth very confident.

The team of players always spends some free time and has been rehearsing for the return of the established theater group on the big stage for weeks, before several performances from March 18th until Palm Sunday provide punchlines and laughter in the Buch community hall. “In three acts, there are piquant situations continuously garnished with a lot of humor,” says Vice Chairwoman Theresia Immler the events surrounding the feed dealer “Emil Dobermann” including the confusion surrounding two dancers in a nutshell.

Brilliant alongside Chairman Stofleth Paula Pickelmann in the lead role, while also including familiar faces like Margaretha Flatz, Lothar Gunz and Michel Stocklasa complement the team. Vice chairwoman Immler and her daughter get a taste of things for the first time Martina, Rebecca Boni, Stefan Achberger, Rebecca Feurstein and Friedemann von Bezold officially theatrical air in Buch. The “Theaterschubling und Käsebrot” menu is also making a comeback, while guests at the sold-out premiere are treated to a glass of sparkling wine.

Aside from the stage, a large number of members and volunteers are involved, for example at the entrance, in the kitchen or in the make-up department, so that nothing stands in the way of a carefree visit to the theatre. “The tickets for the Saturday performances were already sold out days before the start,” says the director, who is also pleased Sandra Eberle regarding the great interest following the restrictions of recent years.
