Luc Trullemans really doesn’t have any good news for the next few days…

The passage of an active depression over the Benelux will cause a very stormy sky this Friday morning with a few scattered showers which will become more and more numerous in the followingnoon and evening with even showers of sleet or melted snow in the plains and snowfall above 300 to 400m in the Ardennes.

The depression will be accompanied by intense west to north gales reaching in the followingnoon 80 to 90 km/h at sea and 70 to 80 km/h inland.

Temperatures which will show 6 to 13º in the middle of the day will drop in the followingnoon to be between -1 and +4º depending on the altitude in the evening.

At night the sky will clear up everywhere except in the Ardennes where it will remain a little more cloudy with first a few more showers of melting snow or snow.

Early morning lows will show 3º by the sea, +1 to -3º in the plain and -2 to -6º in the upper Ardennes.

SATURDAY

A ridge with a small anticyclonic core will arrive over our regions which will bring calm and dry conditions for the whole day in very sunny conditions.

However, it will be cool with highs around 3-4 p.m. of 5 to 8º in the plain and on the coast and between 5 and 1º south of the Sambre and Meuse furrow.

11 mars

The sky will cloud over the following night and it will start to rain once more somewhat from the French border.

At the end of the night, temperatures will show 1º in the Hautes Fagnes at 8º in the west and center of the country under a south-westerly wind blowing with peaks of 60 to 70 km / h at the coast and 30 to 60 km / h in the interior of the country.

Sunday

The west to southwest wind will continue to intensify in the interior with peaks of 60 to 80 km/h everywhere and the sky will become very changeable but with little or no rain.

A puff of very mild air will invade the country with highs between 7º in the Ardennes heights and 13 to 14º in the center of the country.

At night it will start raining fairly well once more from the west.

Monday

A storm depression will move east over Scotland and the northern North Sea which will further increase the speed of the southwest wind which will blow in the followingnoon and evening with gusts between 70 and 100 km/h.

It will rain a lot in the morning but then the weather will become more variable with appearances of the sun and still showers sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunder.

13 mars

This depression will also be accompanied by very mild air with daytime temperatures between 10 in the upper Ardennes and 16º in the plain, passing through 12º by the sea.

Evolution for Tuesday and Wednesday

Cooler air is forecast with sunny spells for Tuesday but further relatively heavy rain on Wednesday. It will still be windy with highs between 4 and 10º.

Probable trend for the weekend and the following weekend

At first it will be very mild once more and still rainy, but then the tendency for heavy rains should decrease, as will the temperature, which should fluctuate in the followingnoon between 4 and 11º depending on the altitude.
