Intersport ready to take over Go Sport

The fate of the 120 Go Sport stores will be decided in part on Friday. Candidates for the takeover of the channel specializing in receivership since January have until the end of the day to submit their offers to the Grenoble commercial court. According to our information, three proposals should be submitted to judicial administrators and judges.

Intersport are preparing to make an offer, two sources say. The independent network of sports stores has posted double-digit growth for several years and has established itself as a solid number two in the market behind Decathlon. The cooperative would be particularly interested in the beautiful locations of Go Sport in Paris and the inner suburbs, a wealthy area from which Intersport is almost absent. Contacted, Intersport did not respond to our requests.
