Dr. Manar Ghanem, a member of the Media Center of the Meteorological Authority, revealed the fact that the country was exposed to a violent winter wave, heavy rains, and a storm of dragons, similar to what happened in 2020.

This came following what was raised on social media, regarding the possibility that Egypt would be exposed to a wave of violent rain and the dragon storm that the country witnessed in 2020, especially following the General Authority of Meteorology announced the return of rainy winter weather during the next week, and it will be of varying intensity in some areas, and that After a state of stability in the weather.

According to the Authority: Starting next Monday, March 13, 2023, the latest weather maps indicate a state of instability in weather conditions, accompanied by rains of varying intensity in areas from the north of the country to northern Upper Egypt and Sinai, and wind activity in some areas.

Manar told Masrawy: What is being circulated is not completely true, explaining that there is indeed a state of instability and rain that will fall and be of varying intensity, but it will not be as described or called a dragon storm or the case of March 12, 2020.

And she stressed that the phenomena and weather elements that will be in this case are completely different from 2020, in terms of the amount of rain and pressure distributions.

And she continued: But people’s concern regarding it is the convergence of the situation and the memory of its date, as the past was on March 12, 2020, and the next case will be on March 13, 2023. The weather conditions are related to the forecasts that will be announced, and we will announce them well in advance to the citizens.
