Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, March 9, 2023 (Archyde.com) /PRNewswire/ – The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Justice (MOJ) has successfully concluded its first International Conference on Justice (ICJ) in Riyadh. The two-day conference brought together 50 legal professionals, legal experts and decision-makers from around the world to explore how technology is transforming legal systems and making the judiciary more transparent and accessible to all.

- During the two-day conference, around 4,000 guests from across the global justice community gathered to discuss the role of technology in revolutionizing the legal sector.
- The conference provided a platform for international dialogue to address common challenges, strengthen global justice practice and use the latest technological developments to make justice more transparent and accessible to all.
Saudi Justice Minister HE Walid al-Samaani said: “The past two days have been a great success as we have been able to exchange knowledge and experience with the best legal professionals from around the world.” He added: “We hope that the dialogue and collaboration fostered at this conference will have a significant impact on the future development of digital justice solutions worldwide.”
With 25 speakers and 6 main sessions, the conference invited attendees to explore the theme of ‘Facilitating access to justice through digital innovation’ Future of AI in legal practice to the use of mass data to predict legal outcomes.
The last day of the ICJ comprised three main sessions: “Using AI to improve justice”, “Data analysis to improve justice” and “The future of alternative dispute resolution in the light of digital transformation”. Attending speakers included experts in the fields of AI -Ethics, data analysis, digital mediation and remote arbitration who shared their knowledge and experience on how digitally-enabled judicial authorities can create a more prosperous society and ensure transparent, accessible and fair justice for all.
Since the launch of Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia’s digitization aspirations have transformed the Kingdom into a global leader in digital justice. By 2023, more than 90% of the UK’s justice services will be digitised, with the Ministry of Justice’s Najiz portal giving users access to over 150 e-Justice services. In the past year alone, the Kingdom’s expanding digital services have facilitated over 2.37 million online hearings, delivered over 1.1 million judgments and issued over 5.2 million electronic powers of attorney. By hosting the conference, the Kingdom sought to provide legal actors worldwide with an important new platform for sharing expertise on digital transformation and fostering international cooperation towards the digital future of legal systems.
