On International Women’s Day, we talk regarding gender and sex inequalities in health. If gender stereotypes are present in society, caregivers are no exception. Thus, the High Council for Equality between Women and Men noted, in its 2020 report, the importance of taking sex and gender into account to provide better care, evoking a public health issue.
Indeed, some pathologies are more quickly diagnosed in men than in women, because their clinical signs vary according to sex. In fact, the care of women will also be later. Similarly, certain pathologies, such as endometriosis, have long been set aside, affecting only women.
How to fight once morest these inequalities and guarantee equal access to health for all? Why is listening to patients essential?
At the end of the program, we find the sports chronicle of the Dr Jean Marc Senesports physician and author of Sport: I’m getting started!, published by In Press
