Stressed feelings also get older… they get duller with age

When a person faces a difficult situation, he or she becomes worried and mentally tense, which is often referred to as stress. Moderate stress increases work efficiency, but when stress is excessive or sensitive emotional reactions are repeated, it not only impoverishes people, but also causes various diseases such as cardiovascular disease and chronic metabolic disease.

A recent study published in the Journal of Developmental Psychology, published by the American Psychological Association, revealed changes in stress according to age. The study involved 2845 Americans with an average age of 48. Through standardized questionnaires and interviews, stressful days and emotional responses to stress were assessed, and the process was followed up for 20 years.

Overall, 39% of their lives were stressful. The number of stressful days gradually decreased as people got older, with 25% fewer stress days than middle-aged and 38% younger adults. Emotional responses to stress also gradually decreased with age. The degree of emotional response decreased rapidly until the age of 54, but did not decrease significantly therefollowing. It means that it has stabilized on that line. The degree of stress and emotional response was higher in women than in men

When you’re young, you have to start a new social career and build a family, so it’s the most dynamic time, so there’s no choice but to be stressful. After adulthood, they look at life more positively and tend to avoid stress on their own.

When I go through stress every day, I fear that my body will be intact, but fortunately, as I get older, my insensitivity increases and my stress decreases, so I don’t have to be too pessimistic. Confucius said that at the age of 60 he was Yi Sun, so his ears became docile and he might comfortably accept any words, but this has been scientifically proven.
