“Could you do that?”: Anita’s moving request to Josefa after a cancer diagnosis in La Ley de Baltazar

These have been difficult days for Anita (Fernanda Salazar) following she was diagnosed with breast cancer that has spread widely in Baltazar’s law (Mega).

During the last few episodes, her boyfriend, Gabriel (Simón Pesutic), has sworn all his support prior to treatment, while now her mother Rosa (Mabel Farías) has gone to live with them to also help.

Even so, Anita remains deeply fearful and thinks that her illness might lead to her death, a scenario that terrifies her even more when she has her little offspring, Mati, from her ex-marriage to Feña (Claudio Castellón).

The petition

Given that, the whole decision to go talk to Josefa (Valentina Carvajal), Feña’s current partner, with whom he has apparently built a very solid relationship in a short time.

Sitting on a sofa, she told him: “Do you think that following a while you’ll still be with Feña, and I’m not here anymore, might you continue reading stories to Mati?”

Before the other even managed to respond, she added: “Look, it’s very difficult for me to ask you what I’m telling you, but if I’m not there, I would like him to be with a person who can give it away, might you do that?” .

Josefa’s response was left on hold, given that the scene was not fully shown, since it was a preview of what will be the chapter on Wednesday (March 8).
