bank99 declares 2023 to be the year of women

Today’s International Women’s Day is the starting signal for a whole series of measures specifically for bank99 employees.

Vienna (OTS) When Patricia Kasandziev joined bank99 as a member of the Management Board half a year ago, the existing focus on female employees was further intensified.
“We are making 2023 the women’s year and are positioning ourselves more strongly than ever as a woman-friendly employer,” says Kasandziev, formulating her concerns on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

FROM FREE HYGIENE PRODUCTS TO COACHING

The package of measures is diverse and begins with what is actually self-evident: From International Women’s Day, women’s hygiene items will be freely available in all women’s toilets.

Support on the career path is now available through targeted coaching. “The career ladder for women is often not as linear as it is for men. Time off to raise children or the still prevailing social understanding of roles are often the reasons for this. I have seen all too often that colleagues need or would have needed competent support in planning their careers,” says the board member. This is where bank99 offers its employees the best possible support and support on their career path.

The package of measures is supplemented by a series of lectures dealing with money and, above all, investment issues for women. “If not us, who?” asks Kasandziev, referring to the fact that women increasingly want to become financially independent.
Women are excellent financial managers, at work as well as privately, she says, often the only thing missing is information and the first step. The bank99 investment expert Michaela Eshtewi and the Head of Treasury Friedrich Mach want to change this within their own ranks in the context of lectures and workshops.

Last but not least, a process for certifying family-friendliness is now starting, because it is usually the women who have to reconcile everything and are particularly challenged. The wide-ranging program for improving the compatibility of work and family also includes the promotion of paternity leave and paternity leave, childcare options and the opportunity to work part-time during parental leave. Topics such as educational leave, health or leisure activities are also included in the program. However, Kasandziev is convinced that with the “berufundfamilie” certification and thus the award as a family-friendly company, one would be able to score particularly well with women.

SHARE OF WOMEN WILL BE EXPANDED

The current proportion of women at bank99 is 50%. 40% of the department heads are women and since Patricia Kasandziev joined, 33% of the Management Board are women.

“We now know that the future of work is more female and we are doing a lot to increase the proportion of women in our company. We will encourage, empower, but also make interesting offers for full-time and part-time. bank99 should be a popular employer for women. That’s my goal and that’s why my first year here as a board member is also a women’s year,” concludes Kasandziev confidently.
