Ice Hockey – Magnus League. Playoffs: pushed to extra time, Grenoble wins match 1 against Mulhouse

Grenoble has successfully entered the play-offs. For this first quarter-final between the Brûleurs de loups and Mulhouse, the reigning French champions fought for victory. From the outset, the Grenoble team used speed and precision to asphyxiate the Scorpions. An effective strategy. Kyle Hardy came to put the puck in the back of the net guarded by Papillon (3’18) imitated at the end of the third by Aurélien Dair (15’39).

The Wolfburners continued to push as they continued to press and be more insistent. But Papillon chained stops in front of Kyle Hardy (32’30), Flavian Dair (34’30) or even Dylan Fabre (33′ and 37′). When the doorman of the Scorpions opens the door, it is the transverse (Crinon, 24’50) or the post (Aubin, 47’55). When we thought that the Grenoble residents had done the hardest part, they were caught in less than four minutes. The Scorpions stung a first time Ivan Esipov (48’20) in numerical inferiority then by Alexander Berardinelli (51’39) who equalized. The end of the match was unbreathable between the uninhibited Mulhousiens and the Grenoble residents who needed to get their heads straight. Samuel Rousseau almost crucified Stepanek at the very end of the match (59’59), but his shot was off target.

In extra time, the Grenoble residents multiplied the chances on Papillon’s cage. Champagne missed his duel (62’54) which might have given the victory to his team. On a penalty for late play from Rychagov (65’14) and another in stride for the bench of the Alsatians, the Grenoble residents found themselves in double numerical superiority. On the engagement, Kyle Hardy sent a missile into Papillon’s top corner helplessly. Grenoble wins match 1. See you Wednesday for the rest (8:15 p.m.).
