Like many, a very young Ludwik Palet he had his doubts regarding what to do professionally and it was until he saw the staging Uncle Vanya of Anton Chekhov who discovered that acting was the profession to which he would dedicate his whole life. But love and a subsequent pregnancy slightly modified their plans, decisions that were punished by Televisa.
The actress and producer is one of the protagonists of the docuseries Mi Vida of the channel Canela.TVwhere she recently spoke regarding her first experience as a mother with her son Nicolás, the product of her marriage to fellow actor Plutarco Haza, and the decisions she made around the pregnancy that transformed her dreams of continuing her artistic preparation in New York or getting new opportunities jobs in Los Angeles.
“Just before I left I met my eldest son’s father, and my plans… I don’t want to say they were cut short because they turned into one of the most wonderful things in my life, which is my son Nicolás, but my plans changed. I got pregnant and all those fantasies or plans I had I didn’t do. I got pregnant at the age of 20 and I was in love, excited, very excited to have Nicolás, I had no idea how much my life would change,” the actress confesses.
Paleta had Nicolás Haza in 1999. By that year, the actress of Polish origin had triumphed in two children’s soap operas, Carousel next to Gaby Rivero, and my grandfather and me along with Gael Garcia Bernal. After a brief hiatus, she became the daughter of Thalia in the successful Maria from the neighborhoodthree of Televisa’s productions with the greatest global impact.
With enough credits to maintain her international projection, Ludwika decided to complete her academic training as an actress, but she met (now ex-husband) Haza, one of the stars of TV Azteca and they soon got married and became parents. “In a very innocent and probably very unconscious way, I thought it was going to be like playing with dolls, how hard might it be to take care of a baby?” she adds.
But while she was enjoying her pregnancy and subsequent motherhood, Televisa brought her back to reality in a cruel way, leaving her without a source of financial support. “When I got pregnant, they took away my exclusivity on Televisa. So I stopped working, when Nicolás was born I didn’t have a job, I didn’t even know if I was going to return to television“.
It was another of the things that changed my life, of course, because probably in my early twenties I would have been doing castings for projects that interested me or, I don’t know, being in Los Angeles looking to get into Hollywood movies. I don’t know, I will never know what would have happened, but without a doubt it was what had to happen and I had Nicolás very young and now we are very good friends.Ludwik Palet
The complicity with his eldest son is evident in the social networks of both, on several occasions they have been seen starring in funny trends on TikTok or celebrating each other’s triumphs. “It seems incredible to me that we are both so close and so young. I feel that I have just experienced what he is experiencing, 20 years do not seem so far away, seeing him now, living his life and saying ‘of course, I remember, I have so fresh that moment you’re going through, and feeling this and this and this’, I find it fascinating”.
His unstable relationship with Televisa
After two years without any type of television project, the producer Emilio Larrosa, whom he met indirectly in Miami, recovered it for his next youth soap opera, Friends and rivals. “He saw me, I remember that I saw him, I knew who he was, and he, of course, knew who I was, we exchanged glances, I didn’t get close, neither did he, but when I returned to Mexico a couple of days later, they called me. to his office, I met with him, he was always a very respectful person with me, he invited me to participate in this soap opera that was another boom, Friends and rivals It was another soap opera that was seen all over the world, which brought me many good things, many lessons”.
This resurgence brought him new projects in the company (my beloved girl, duel of passions) and in the cinema (I don’t know whether to cut my veins or leave them long, six days in the dark, Megamente), but in 2016 there was a rumor of a possible veto following having participated in the series The Centaur’s Mistress from Telemundo. “It’s a bit absurd because in the end the series will go through Unicable and it will go through certain Televisa channels. So, I don’t think there will be any problem, I think they are rather misunderstandings“, said Ludwika on the program All for women on that occasion.
It was that same year when he also announced that he would not make soap operas once more, and his career has focused on series for streaming platforms. streamingfilms and plays, the artistic proposal that impressed her and helped her define herself through acting.
