According to a study, premature ejaculation can be prevented with yoga

Forget Viagra! There’s a much better way to prevent premature ejaculation, according to a new study: yoga. A certain exercise should be particularly helpful.

One in three men admits they wish they had more staying power in bed. The number of unreported cases is likely to be much higher. According to researchers at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, nothing is easier than that. In order to prevent premature ejaculation, a very specific yoga pose is required, among other things, which only needs to be practiced regularly. Prevent premature ejaculation without medication

Viagra is one of the best-known remedies when it should work in the bedroom or take a little longer. In addition, the blue pills ensure a guaranteed erection – but often with unpleasant side effects. What alternatives are there? For their current review, which was published in the journal “Trends in Urology & Men’s Health”, the research team put various techniques to the test in the form of a meta-analysis that are intended to prevent premature ejaculation in a natural way: running, yoga, pelvic floor exercises and the so-called “pause-squeeze” method. The review looked at a total of 54 studies and 3485 men, all of whom reported suffering from their premature ejaculation.1

Coming too fast – what is that actually?

According to the Mayo Clinic, premature ejaculation is nothing to worry regarding as long as it doesn’t happen too often. It is always present when the man always or almost always ejaculates within a few seconds following penetration and during this time is unable to delay orgasm all or almost all of the time.2 The psychological component is also decisive, for example, in that the person concerned becomes so desperate that he completely avoids intimacy. Psychological distress is associated with low self-esteem, anxiety, decreased libido, and disrupted interpersonal relationships.

Three times longer sex thanks to this yoga exercise!

In a yoga study included in the analysis, 26 men were asked to practice yoga for a period of 12 weeks. Including in particular a position called “downward-facing dog” (see article photo). Impressive result: The time they lasted during sex followingwards had more than tripled, from just under 26 seconds to an average of almost a minute and a half. In addition, there are numerous other positive qualities that yoga brings with it. These include improved body awareness, flexibility and stronger pelvic floor muscles.

What other methods help

Jogging is a bit more time-consuming and strenuous, but also effective – for half an hour five times a week. This increased the participating men’s pleasures in bed to a full two and a half minutes! Pelvic floor exercises might also help prevent premature ejaculation. However, it was difficult in the studies to accurately assess the effects of the exercises. In this case, the proof of the pudding is in the eating.

A study of 31 men also showed positive results for a technique called the “pause squeeze.” During a short sex break, you press the glans together with your fingers to prevent ejaculation. This extended the pleasure for you and your partner from one minute to three minutes. Finally, the scientists found evidence that ginseng berry extract might improve performance, but the evidence was too weak, so more research is needed.
