While the city of Ahmed Sékou Touré -father of national independence- is in full preparation for the celebration of Women’s Day on March 8, the president of the transition Colonel Mamady Doumbouya landed unexpectedly on Tuesday 07 March 2023 at Faranah airport.
It was around 1 p.m. that the green 3X-AAA helicopter carrying Colonel Doumbouya landed at Faranah International Airport.
Regional, prefectural, municipal authorities, civil societies, wise men and several other citizens quickly mobilized for the occasion.
Far from the microphones and cameras of the press, the number one of the CNRD spoke with the authorities instead for 30 minutes.
Nothing has filtered the objective of his visit which has caused a lot of ink and saliva to flow.
According to our sources, Colonel Mamady Doumbouya has left Forécariah for Faranah and is currently in N’zérékoré. He might join Kankan, the 2nd city of the country where he was born.
