The Biostar brand announces a total of four new motherboards. We are talking regarding the B760MZ-E Pro, B670MX-E D4, B760MX2-E D4 and B760MX2-E. Behind these references hide quite similar models. We try to demystify all that!
Biostar signs four new motherboards!
On the program, we therefore have four motherboards, all in the format micro-ATX. These are intended for 12th and 13th generation Intel processors via their socket LGA-1700 and chipset B760. In addition, it is clearly a question of cards intended for the entry-level market.
Here, the most high-end version will be represented by the B760MZ-E PRO. This model has heatsinks on its VRM a little worked. It also offers four memory slots in DDR5 6000MT/s. The rest of the connections put forward a PCIe 4.0 x16, one PCIe 4.0 x4 and one PCIe 3.0 x1. For storage we have four SATA III and two M.2 in PCIe 4.0×4.
Then, we find the B760MX2-E immediately more discreet with less elaborate heatsinks. The card only offers two slots RAM always in DDR5 6000MT/s. Coast PCIe, the card only offers a 4.0 x16 slot and a second in 3.0 x1. On the storage side, we always have our four SATA III coupled with a single M.2 in PCIe 4.0 x4.
The B760MX2-E D4 is a variation DDR4 of the B760MX2-E. It uses the same connections and the same design… Except for the memory part that loses access to the DDR5. Here, we will content ourselves with stick memory DDR4 at 4400 MT/s.
Finally, the B760MX-E D4 is the entry-level model par excellence. This is a stripped board with no heatsink on the VRM. Of course, it will be necessary to be content with memory slots in DDR4 4400MT/s. In addition, the rest of the connectors are identical to the previous model. To find an umpteenth difference, you will have to look on the side of the network which goes from the Realtek 8125B (2.5 Gbps) to the Intel i219V in 1 Gbps.
Finally, regarding prices, do not expect a big budget. Moreover, the B760MX2-E D4 is currently available around 105 €.
