Use of poison gas in Iran to disrupt the study of schoolgirls

According to a BBC report, nearly 700 girls in Iran have been exposed to poison gas since November. It is also alleged that this is a deliberate attempt to prevent girls from schooling. There are no reports of any deaths of girls who inhaled the poisonous gas. But reports also indicate that many people experience respiratory problems, nausea, dizziness, and fatigue.

It is not yet clear who is behind these incidents. Suspected cases have been reported in 21 of Iran’s 30 provinces. The country is worried that more girls may be gassed for going to school.

According to reports, the girls smelled strong odors of rotten lemons, chlorine and cleaning agents. Then he experienced headache, dizziness, respiratory problems and nausea. Some also experienced numbness in their limbs. Videos of girls in Iran complaining of leg pain, stomach ache and dizziness have also surfaced on social media. Videos of parents and schoolgirls in the emergency room were also released.

Iran’s Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi said the necessary samples had been collected to investigate the incident. He asked people to remain calm. The Prosecutor General also announced that a criminal investigation would be launched into the incident. After the issue gained international attention, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi announced that an investigation into the incident had been announced. Iran’s president described the incident as a ‘crime once morest humanity’, causing concern among students and parents.
