Editorial: sweat and blood

Partiaga, a rural commune in the east of the country, suffered the revolt of terrorists last week. No official record. Never mind, these are too many deaths. And this arouses anger and desolation. Understandable feelings. Could such a tragedy be avoided? Maybe, but how? An evacuation of the entire Commune, because the combat units were unable to stand up? Many questions that will not find clear answers. Partiaga nationals in Ouagadougou cried out for abandonment. Let’s wait for the explanations of the General Staff to know the official version of what happened in this locality. Asking for hot accounts and anathematizing the army and the government are not to strengthen the serenity in our ranks.

It’s playing the enemy’s game, despite this legitimate pain. There was the drama of Déou and Oursi and now, that of Partiaga. There will be others, because it is in the nature of this war, which feeds above all on the blood of unarmed civilians.

Until our FDS, our VDP and our populations are able to resist the enemy and then defeat him. It will take the time of our mistakes, in sweat and blood.
