Dewa 19 successfully held the Dewa 19 30 Years People’s Party concert at Kita Bandung. At that moment Deputy Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army (Wakasad) Lt. Gen. Agus Subiyanto became an impromptu member of staff invited by Ahmad Dhani to perform.
Ahmad Dhani performed 30 popular songs, along with three vocalists across generations, namely Ari Lasso, Virzha, and Marcello Tahitoe or Ello.
There was a surprising moment. Ahmad Dhani invited Lt. Gen. Agus Subiyanto went up the stage.
“Here will also be playing guitar with Dewa 19, Lt. Gen. Agus Subiyanto,” said Ahmad Dhani to the crowd that had packed the Siliwangi Stadium.
That night Lt. Gen. Agus was invited by Dhani to play guitar and perform several songs, including Half Breath.
The audience is invited to reminisce on the era of 2000. Where it was the golden year for Dewa 19 when they were still with Once Mekel as vocalist.
The presence of Lt. Gen. Agus himself was surprising, especially when he helped entertain the audience with his skillful guitar playing.
Lt. Gen. Agus, who is also the former Military Commander III of Siliwangi, is considered capable of competing with Dewa 19 personnel.
He shared his actions at the Dewa 19 concert on his Instagram account @91agussubiyanto.
“It’s time for action, Alhamdulillah, everything is made easy. Thank you very much,” Agus wrote in his tweet.
The boisterous cheers of the audience were able to describe how satisfied Baladewa-Baladewi, as Dewa’s fans are called, that night. Ari Lasso, vocalist of Dewa 19 in 1991-1999, was saved as a gong and a surprise at the concert.
She gave the best performance by successively singing the songs Enough Siti Nurbaya, Restoe Boemi, and Kirana.
