Stalin’s shadow over Putin – Paul Lendvai

It has been 70 years since Stalin died on March 5, 1953, but his shadow looms over Vladimir Putin’s Russia today. All opinion polls confirm that one of the worst criminals of the 20th century is considered “the most important historical figure in Russia”. There is even an initiative to rename Volgograd back to Stalingrad.
