This weekend several raids were carried out by the staff of the third police station, in the west of the city. In two of them, several cannabis sativa plants were seized and firearms were also seized.
The first raid was carried out on Saturday morning in a housing located near Catriel and Castelli streetsas a result of an order issued by the Office of the Prosecutor for Domestic and Gender Violence for alleged qualified threatsas reported by inspector Nicolás Corzo in dialogue with BLACK RIVER. It was carried out in an attempt to locate firearms and ammunition.
Corzo explained that they arrived at the place with Despo personnel and when they broke in they met with some resistance from the people who were inside the house. They were six men and two women, between the ages of 22 and 31.. Despite this, they were reduced by the Neuquén Police.
The commissioner said that when they were regarding to arrive at the place they saw that the people were trading outside the house and in the presence of the police they threw the things in the patio and entered the house. Inside they found a precision scale.
Firearms, 35 cannabis plants and six delayed
Two firearms were found inside the house: a 9mm caliber Versa pistol and a long 32 caliber Smith and Wesson revolverand in the hall of the house a replica of a black plastic revolver was found.
In addition, in the backyard of the house they found 35 cannabis sativa plants with different heights, between 0.50cm and up to 3 and a half meters.
Due to this, justice ordered the delay and identification of the six men, leaving only one of them detained -the owner of the house- although he recovered his freedom subject to the cause. As for the two women, they were only identified at the scene and then left.
30 cannabis plants in raid for theft
The commissioner explained that that same day another raid was carried out by the Robbery and Theft Prosecutor’s Office, in proximity to Padre Milanesio and República de Italia streets. Corzo explained that he went to search for a television that was stolen, although it might not be found in the house.
However, in the courtyard they found some 30 cannabis sativa plants between 1 and 4 meters tall. At the home was the owner of the place, in addition to a woman and another man who were identified by ordinary justice.
The woman had no history while the two men did, although without restriction. Despite this, from the federal justice they were notified for the cause of possession of marijuana plants.
