Switzerland recorded an increase of 3.4% in one year
Rents, gasoline prices and air transport are helping to drive prices up, according to the Federal Statistical Office.
Rents, among other things, contributed to the rise in the consumer price index.

In February, the consumer price index rose 0.7% over one month to 105.8 points, against 0.6% the previous month. Over one year, Switzerland recorded an increase in prices of 3.4%, according to the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
The index was driven in particular by the increase in prices for air transport, package travel and supplementary accommodation, said a statement released on Monday.
The increase exceeds the consensus expectations of the AWP agency, which expected an index of between +2.9% and +3.0% over one year in February and a monthly variation between +0.3% and + 0.4%.
Rents and gas prices contributed to the rise in the index. On the other hand, the prices of fuel oil or new cars have fallen.
