In the 1960s, diethyllysergamide (LSD) was a symbol of American counterculture. This powerful hallucinogen was mainly consumed for recreational purposes by the younger generation.
Today, this drug is studied for its particularly interesting properties in the treatment of mental health disorders, such as depression, as explained by the chemist Normand Voyer. The psychoactive substance is very promising, because its beneficial effects are felt quickly, not to mention that the side effects caused by its consumption are less compared to those of traditional drugs.
