Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Mufti of Egypt, Dr. Shawky Allam, spoke regarding the issue of imposing compulsory prices on commodities, indicating that the Messenger (PBUH) refrained from pricing, but Caliph Umar bin Al-Khattab did so due to different circumstances.
During a seminar with Cairo University students, the Mufti cited the companion who went to the Messenger of God (PBUH) and asked him to price him, but the Messenger (PBUH) told him, “God is the Exalted Clutch, and I do not want to meet God with a debt on my neck,” according to Sunrise website.
And he continued: The hadith means that the Messenger refrained from pricing, but during the era of Omar, when some merchants began to monopolize the goods, Caliph Omar imposed a new system suitable for the stage.
