Prevention is better than cure

If on the economic level, inflation obliges, the forecasts concerning the purchasing power are worth in the month of March 2023 to be often qualified as a possible “red March”, it remains no less true that for a few years, the 3rd month of the year is above all blue. It is indeed devoted to the national prevention campaign and screening for colorectal cancer. Through communication, the aim is to fight once morest one of the most widespread and deadliest cancers.
“A sneaky disease that appears on the inner lining of the colon and rectum and may be asymptomatic for years

says a local health professional.
Prevention through screening is therefore essential. The earlier this cancer is detected, the greater the chances of recovery.

Prevention is better than cure, no one can dispute this assertion. The local pharmacy also contributes to this momentum of awareness:
“For 6 months, we have been authorized to deliver, in support of the doctor, the screening kit to patients. We have a role of information and detection with patients who do not hesitate to confide in the pharmacy” ,

explained Pascale Jeanpierre, pharmacist. Municipal elected officials, in close collaboration with ADPS (Association de prévoyance santé), also participate in the large annual communication campaign. Above the new car park adjoining Place Neuve, in this very temporary place, a banner was displayed by the technical services. Lit in blue at night, it does not go unnoticed. The Comptoir de la place distributes small bags of provisions when taking out purchases, reminding citizens of the prevention campaign and the need to be tested. Everyone agrees on wanting to avoid the irremediable and to continue to see life in pink.
