She is Alexa Grasso, the first Mexican champion in the history of the UFC

Alexa Grasso became the first mexican champion in the history of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) this Saturday night by defeating the fighter Valentina Shevchenko. But who is she? Here we tell you.

The 29-year-old Mexican began her sports career on December 19, 2012. Born in Jalisco in 1993, she began to practice sports from a very young age, first as a boxer and then in martial arts.

In 2014 Alexa Grasso began his real career in MMA, where he had three fights in two years, where he went undefeated and with a fight of the night nomination, which led him to the UFC in 2016 and he emerged victorious in his presentation in The Ultimate Fighter Latinoamérica 3.

In 2020 Alexa Grasso was agreed to fight at UFC 246, where at the weigh-in ceremony he scored more than agreed and his participation was cancelled, which was the reason for him to move up the flyweight division to show his talent.

In this division, she defeated Ji Yeon Kim by unanimous decision in 2020. La Guadalajara returned to the cage to beat Maycee Barber at UFC 258 and Joanne Wood at UFC Fight Night 205.
