Delhi Capitals beat RCB in Women’s Premier League; Victory by 60 runs

Mumbai: Delhi Capitals beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 60 runs in the first match of Women’s Premier League today. Batting first, Delhi scored 223 runs for the loss of two wickets in 20 overs. RCB might only score 163 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs.

Shafali Verma, who scored 84 runs off 45 balls, Meg Lanning, who scored 72 runs off 43 balls, and Marisanne Kapp, who scored an unbeaten 39 off 17 balls, gave Delhi a huge score. Heather Knight took two wickets for RCB.

Smriti Mandana scored 35 runs off 23 balls, Heather Knight scored 34 runs off 21 balls and Ellyse Perry scored 31 runs off 19 balls for RCB. Tara Norris took five wickets, Alice Kapsey two wickets and Shikha Pandey one wicket for Delhi.
