The Night of the Bookstores is a party: photos and videos of a full Corrientes avenue

A caravan of readers circulates along Corrientes avenue on the occasion of the Bookstores Nightthe traditional event that year following year brings together booksellers and authors with novel proposals, workshops, performances and multiple activities related to the world of books. With the axis on the 40th anniversary of democracy, six scenarios were arranged for the celebration of the literary event.

The circuit opens on the Corrientes avenue, between Cerrito and Callao avenueswhere some 45 bookstores remain open to the public, while activities take place in the street in which they participate, among other luxury guests, Martin Kohan, Claudia Piñeiro, Loyds, Lucian Lutherau, Diego Golombek, James Kovadloff, Horace Convertini, Selva Almada, Pablo Sirven, Ricardo Gil Lavedra, Maria O’Donnell, Facundo Pastor, Sebastian Domenech, Julian Lopez, Luis Mey, James Llach, Luisa Valenzuela, Alexander Dujovne, Bobby Flowers, Sergio Wolf, Juan Di Natale, Sergio Olguin, Mauro Libertella, Gentle Gilda, Enzo Maqueira, the publishers Rachel Franco, Victor Malumian and Cinnamon.

The six stages of the cultural festival are named following undisputed references in literature: Estela Figueroa, Antonio Di Benedetto, Vlady Kociancich, Ernesto Saturday, Quino and Sylvia Molloy.

On the stage Anthony DiBenedettolocated at Avenida Corrientes 1299, from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM the talk will take place “Democracy is an eternal dream” along with Roy Hora, Paola Bergallo, Carlos Huffman, Camila Perochena and Luis Diego Fernández.

On the stage Ernesto Sabatolocated in Corrientes at 1499, at 9:00 p.m. Guada Cast, Anto Romano, Agus Gómez Orfila and Eri Wrede open a space for reflection and debate called “They mightn’t with the readers. Bye dystopia, hello democracy.”

At 7:00 p.m. the talk began. “40 years of media in democracy”with the prominent participation of Hinde Pomeraniec, Juan Di Natale and Bobby Flores, in Currents

The schedule includes the activity “Soccer, politics and democracy”, whose speakers are Martín Kohan, Sergio Olguín and Alejandro Wall, at 9:30 pm at Corrientes 1399; while at 7:30 p.m., under the title of “Three friends and the story of an era. A dialogue on democracy and friendship, between reality and fiction”will dialogue Claudia Piñeiro, Selva Almada and Débora Mundani.

“Love vs. science. The bonds, the emotions and the mind”, with Diego Golombek and Luciano Lutereau, is stipulated for 10:30 p.m. in Corrientes 1399, and also at 7:30 p.m. in the dissertation “The Trial of the Juntas. The power of the word and the image”will exhibit María O’Donnell, Ricardo Gil Lavedra and Sergio Wolf, among other activities.

It is also available to the public the space of Cultural Pass with live DJ set, serigraphy, printing and Paste Up workshops; and the beneficiaries of the Cultural Pass will have discounts at Cúspide, Dickens, La Revisteria, Hernández, Galerna and Ghandi.
