Wellness Caravans bring quality care and warmth to communities and towns of Oaxaca

Oaxaca de Juarez, Oax. March 4, 2023.- More than three thousand 500 people were attended by the Well-being Caravans during their tour of the municipalities of the Valles Centrales region with the purpose of bringing closer the services and programs provided by the State and Federal Government, to combat the inequality and marginalization in which the past governments forced the communities and peoples of Oaxaca to live.

The head of the Secretary of Well-being, Tequio and Inclusion (Sebienti), Laura Estrada Mauro reported that in coordination with the heads of the different dependencies, work is being done to bring quality and warm care to the families that most require support. .

He added that the purpose is that people can access the different medical, dental, consulting, recreational and sports activities, which improve the quality of life of girls, boys, women, youth and older adults.

The head of Sebienti pointed out that this week the Well-being Caravans were in the municipalities of Asunción Ocotlán, San Pedro Martír, La Pe and San Jerónimo Tlacochahuaya, where on average around 900 people attended each one.

He reiterated that with the invaluable support of the staff that make up the Wellness Caravans and with the support of the municipal authorities they will continue touring the eight regions and that this week they will be in: Santa María Peñoles, Santiago Tlazoyaltepec, San Miguel Peras and San Pablo Cuatro Venados.
