Dozens of girls were transferred to hospitals in the provinces of Hamedan (west), Zanjan and West Azerbaijan (northwest), Fars (south) and Alborz (north), Tasnim agencies reported. and Mehr.

The general state of health of these students, suffering from respiratory problems, dizziness or headaches, is not considered serious, according to them.

In total, several hundred cases of gas poisoning in dozens of establishments have been reported in the past three months, including in the holy city of Qom.

This mysterious case provoked mobilizations of parents of students worried regarding their children and asking the authorities to act.

A couple of Iranian origin who have lived in Quebec for 5 years is shocked by these events, but not surprised.

According to them, in fact, for a little over forty years, since the seizure of power by the Islamic regime, women have been daily victims of multiple forms of violence.

“This regime, for its vindictive essence, for its oppressive essence, has decided to make a harsh revenge [contre les manifestantes]. Because it is a “women, life, freedom” revolution and women are the main symbol of this revolution”, explains Zahra Roohi.

“Woman is the symbol of this revolution, and it is true that the regime is not happy with women and will unfortunately continue to make this revenge,” added Foad Goodarzi.

For the couple, the only way out of the current situation would be for the regime in place to be overthrown.

President Ebrahim Raisi on Friday asked the Interior and Intelligence Ministries to “thwart the enemy’s plot which aims to create fear and despair among the population”. He gave no indication of the identity of this “enemy”.

The authorities have criticized, as an interference in the affairs of the country, the call launched Friday by the German diplomacy to elucidate “all the cases” in this “shocking” case of poisoning. The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights also called for “a transparent investigation” and public findings.

The government has announced an investigation into the origins of the poisoning, but no arrests have been announced at this stage.

Last week, a Health Ministry official explained that “certain individuals” were seeking, through these actions, to “close all schools, especially girls’ schools.” This version has not been taken over by other maintainers.

This case comes as Iran has been shaken by a protest movement since the death on September 16 of Mahsa Amini, a young woman detained by the morality police who accused her of having broken the strict dress code imposing in particular on women the headscarf.
