Dabaiba: He is ready to step down if the Libyans agree on a permanent constitution for the country

Libya – Caretaker Prime Minister Abd al-Hamid al-Dabaiba said that the prisoners of the liberation war during the February 17 revolution are the ones leading the real national reconciliation.

Al-Dabaiba indicated on the sidelines of the second meeting of the prisoners of war of liberation in 2011 that the affected people must be counted among those who were imprisoned during the February 17 revolution, in order to take care of them in all respects, in terms of health and livelihood.

He stressed that any military who wants to rule Libya must take off his military uniform before entering the elections.

He continued, “We will not accept the return of military rule to the country once more, and the national army is tasked with protecting the country, and its loyalty is to God and then to the country.”

He noted that there must be a constitution for the Libyans to consult, and the constitutional rule approved by the House of Representatives does not serve the interests of the people and the Libyans must consult on it.

In conclusion, he expressed his willingness to step down from his position if the Libyans agreed on a permanent constitution for the country.
