The Food and Drug Authority has included medicinal and chemical substances in the lists of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances that are subject to control in the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control System.
The authority updated the list of schedules that it announced in July of last year, as it classified two medicinal substances as category “A” narcotic substances, thus joining the list of narcotic substances included in the first schedule of the United Nations Convention of 1961 AD, noting that the substances classified in category “A” It is known as the yellow list and is subject to international monitoring.
The authority classified the substance “Tiotilon” as a psychotropic substance, and included it with psychotropic substances of category “B” mentioned in the second schedule of the United Nations Convention 1971, noting that substances classified in this category are known as the green list, and are also subject to international control.
The authority updated the list of chemical precursors by adding 4 new substances, and classified them under category “A”, thus joining the list of chemical precursors included in the first schedule of the United Nations Convention of 1988 AD.
