Only the accused was questioned in court. Other persons involved in the incident were interviewed during the pre-trial investigation, and the court evaluated their previous testimony. AK, apparently unable to deny his guilt any longer, fully admitted his guilt, said that he was very sorry for his act, considered him badly and begged for a sentence that was not related to deprivation of liberty. AK spoke briefly regarding how he stole the computer. From the testimony of his friend, who became a driver that day, it became clear that in 2022 August 20 AK asked him to take him to a village in Rokiškis district. Ex drunk. Sometimes he wanted to go there to have a drink with a friend or to borrow money. The idea failed because his friend was not interested in his proposal. Then AK asked his friend to take him back to Rokiškis, where his friend AL lived. As the accused himself told, the apartment door was unlocked and AL was sleeping. When he entered the room, the young man saw a laptop on the table. AK grabbed him before the owner woke up and immediately threw him out the door. Then the thief got into the car and drove to the other end of the city of Rokiškis. There, the computer was sold to the owner of a bar for 80 EUR. The real owner of the computer valued it at EUR 342.17. With the money received, AK bought alcohol, which he drank alone in his home. Unfortunately, the desire to get drunk did not lead to anything good – soon news reached AK that the police were looking for him.
