In response to the investigation, the director said, “I thought I had managed to avoid human rights violations, but I was caught off guard. I was surprised because I was doing my best.” regarding it.
And the hospital director explained that the death and discharge rate was higher than other hospitals, saying, “Many people with severe complications such as dialysis are hospitalized.”
Then, Chairman Yamazaki pointed out that part-time staff accounted for regarding 90% of the background of the incident, and said that training on human rights was not provided to the staff.
He also said, “There are few hospitals that accept dialysis patients with mental symptoms, and the welfare office may have had to choose Takiyama Hospital.” There are only a few countries that have such services, and public hospitals should be the ones to handle them.
The association urged Takiyama Hospital to voluntarily withdraw from the association until management improved, saying, “Psychiatric hospitals have a strong image of being closed. I showed the idea of doing training etc.
